CONCIOUSLY CRAFTED
At McVeigh Made, we create unique, timeless pieces with a commitment to sustainability and expert craftsmanship.
Nestled in Northcote, Melbourne, each McVeigh Made piece comes to life using predominantly recycled and reclaimed timber sourced right here in Victoria. We’re all about giving new life to old wood and making sure it stays close to its roots.
Every piece is crafted with care and built with the future in mind. Many of our clients are repeat customers, drawn to the lasting quality and attention to detail that is unique to McVeigh Made furniture.

Artisanal Furniture Crafted from Recycled Timber in Melbourne, Australia: A Sustainable Journey of Handcrafted Design
MEET THE MAKER
Liam is a furniture designer and maker with a knack for restoration, preservation, and good ol' hand-craftsmanship. His journey started in a makeshift, dirt-floor home workshop during high school, where he began taking commissions from friends and family.
With over 10 years of hands-on experience in furniture design and making, Liam honed his skills further through an Associate Degree in Design. Add in another 5+ years at an independent timber yard, and you've got someone with a deep understanding of the industry and a genuine appreciation for all things timber.
Always feeling most at home outdoors, Liam's respect for the natural environment fuels his passion to create pieces that stand the test of time, both in design and construction. This mirrors the values of the 60s and 70s, an era that has deeply influenced his life. From his music taste, to his love of vintage cars, to his laid-back lifestyle – its influence is most visible in his Mid Century Modern-inspired furniture, with each piece embodying the era's legacy of timeless style and functionality.
McVeigh Made furniture isn’t intended for a museum. It’s crafted to be part of your life, cherished, and seamlessly integrated into your space - like an old friend that naturally makes themselves at home.
We’re also all about sustainability, and working with recycled timber ensures that what is often discarded is given a second life. It's our way of combating deforestation, maintaining a light carbon footprint, and preserving our precious natural resources.
